Designed for a multimedia design firm, this blackened steel catwalk connects a mezzanine to a conference room. The catwalk includes cast glass lenses imbedded in the floor reminiscent of the cast iron sidewalk grates popular in lower Manhattan at the turn of the century. The China laser cut components were detailed in solidworks to fit together like a kit-of-parts that was assembled and installed over a weekend.
The floor surface is blackened with a lacquer finish to provide additional protection against wear. Each lens is surrounded by (4) mate rivets that clamp the top and bottom bent steel panels together.

This is a short preview of my new freshly build pinhole camera…
Basically, it’s a front part that fits the Kiev88 and the Hasselblad C12 back.
There are two versions:
One made completely out of Anodised aluminium and one with a anodised aluminium base and wood. The pinhole sits in a shutter with a leaver to keep the shutter open for very long exposures. There is also the possibility to mount 52mm filters.
The horizontal en vertical angle of view is about 90 degrees.
After i completed the test run they will be for sale. (top shelve i’d say…:)
Made by 3d-design – spark erosion – CNC and conventional China milling and lathe techniques – laser welding – anodising etc.
